When a hotel near Romexpo is the better choice
Start with the uncomfortable part. Our closest apartment is about 2 km from Romexpo in a straight line, and the walk is 3.4 km, roughly 48 minutes. Nobody does that twice a day carrying samples. If you want to step out of the hotel and be at your stand five minutes later, the hotels around Piața Presei Libere are the better choice.
A hotel near Romexpo wins when:
- you have no car and want to walk to the pavilion, morning and evening;
- you are staying one night and only need a bed and a shower;
- breakfast included and a reception open around the clock matter more to you than space.
If that is you, book next to the fair. The rest of this article is for people who come by car, with a team, or for several days.
Accommodation near Romexpo: how far the five apartments are
Romexpo’s address is Bulevardul Mărăști 65-67, but drivers enter through car parks B, C and E, and visitors on foot through gates A, B and C. At the events in Romexpo’s autumn 2026 calendar, parking costs 5 lei an hour; check the rate on your event’s page, because Romexpo sets it. We measured the drive with Google Maps from each building to car park B, on Bulevardul Expoziției:
- Herăstrău: 2.0 km in a straight line, 4.0 km by road, ~11 min in light traffic, up to ~20 min at rush hour;
- Băneasa-Sisești and Băneasa-Sisești 2, at the same address: 2.9 km in a straight line, 4.4 km by road, ~10 min in light traffic, up to ~15 min at rush hour;
- Crângași: 3.4 km in a straight line, 5.0 km by road, ~12 min in light traffic, up to ~20 min at rush hour;
- Băneasa Panorama Lake: 4.5 km in a straight line, 7.1 km by road, ~14 min in light traffic, up to ~20 min at rush hour.
The straight line is measured to Romexpo on the map; the road times are to the car park. For rush hour we measured a weekday at 08:30, 17:30 and 18:00: exactly when you leave for the fair and when you come back.
Which apartment for which kind of Romexpo visit
The exhibitor with a full car: Băneasa-Sisești
The two apartments at Strada Petre S. Aurelian 10 each come with a free private parking space, so the car with your stand materials stays in its place overnight. Romexpo’s car park is ~10 minutes away in light traffic. Băneasa-Sisești is on the ground floor (there are 4 steps at the building entrance), with a terrace facing the courtyard; Băneasa-Sisești 2 is about 92 m² on an upper floor, with no lift. If you have heavy boxes to carry, take the ground floor.
Each sleeps up to 4 guests, and in both the living room is separate from the bedroom. For a team of up to 8, that means two apartments in the same building: each with its own bathroom, its own kitchen and its own quiet in the evening.
A team of five or six: Herăstrău
The Herăstrău apartment, at Intrarea Undiței 1, is the closest to Romexpo in a straight line, 2.0 km; by car it is ~11 minutes in light traffic, about the same as from Băneasa-Sisești. It has two bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living room, for up to 6 guests. Parking is free, on the public street. In the evening, Herăstrău Park starts 280 m away, roughly a 4-minute walk, through the entrance on Șoseaua Nordului: a walk by the lake after a whole day on your feet at the stand.
A large group without a car: Crângași
The Crângași apartment has two bedrooms and three beds and sleeps up to 6 guests. Of the five, it is the quickest to Romexpo by public transport: tram 41, 6 stops to Piața Presei, about 35 minutes door to door. Crângași metro station is 370 m away, roughly a 5-minute walk, for an evening in the centre. Parking is free, on the public street.
The fair ends, the flight leaves: Băneasa Panorama Lake
Băneasa Panorama Lake has one bedroom, room for up to 4 guests and free parking at the property. It is the farthest of the five from Romexpo, ~14 minutes by car, but the best placed for what comes next: the departures terminal at Henri Coandă Airport is 12.2 km away, about 17 minutes in light traffic. If you fly out after the last day of the fair, we have written separately about staying near Otopeni airport.
Without a car: getting to Romexpo by public transport
We asked Google Maps for the public transport route from each apartment, arriving at Romexpo at 10:00 on a weekday. The times include the walking, from the door to the stop and from the stop to Romexpo, about 1.4 km in all:
- from Crângași: tram 41, 6 stops to Piața Presei, about 35 minutes;
- from Băneasa-Sisești: bus 205, 7 stops to Piața Presei, about 40 minutes;
- from Herăstrău: two buses, 301 and then 331, about 47 minutes. From here a car or a taxi is simpler, ~11 minutes;
- from Băneasa Panorama Lake: bus 205, 13 stops to Piața Presei, about 48 minutes.
Concerts, musicals and New Year’s Eve at Romexpo
Romexpo does not host only fairs. Its calendar also has concerts and musicals, and it hosted a New Year’s Eve party for the start of 2026. The current programme is on Romexpo’s concerts and festivals page.
After a concert, the hour matters more than the distance. With self check-in at all five apartments you can arrive at any time after 15:00, with nobody waiting up for you. At night, when traffic is light, the drive by car or taxi is 10–14 minutes.
And one rule we state plainly: we do not host parties. The apartments have neighbours, so after the concert the apartment is for sleeping, not for an afterparty.
What you get for a stay of several days
- Self check-in. You receive the access instructions before you arrive, so you let yourself in without meeting anyone. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is by 10:00; early check-in and late check-out can be requested, for an additional charge, subject to availability, which helps on the day you build or dismantle your stand.
- A kitchen and a washing machine. All five apartments have a kitchen, so breakfast is done before the gates open, and a washing machine, for a clean shirt on day three of the fair.
- An invoice. The operator is ARKADIA INOVATION SRL, CUI 47935937, and we issue invoices for every stay, including business stays.
- Three stars, the top grade for apartments. All five apartments are classified at 3 stars by the Romanian Ministry of Tourism, and three stars is the highest grade for short-stay apartments: under Order 65/2013, apartments for rent are classified from 1 to 3 stars. The certificate number is shown on each apartment’s page.
How booking works
The nightly price is shown on each apartment’s page. Pick your dates in the calendar and the booking card shows the total for your stay, line by line: that is the final price.
- Pick an apartment from the five we run and check the dates of your fair.
- Send the request; the conversation then continues on WhatsApp.
- The booking is final only once we confirm it.
If you are coming for a big fair, book early, as soon as you know the dates.
So: hotel or apartment near Romexpo?
If you are coming alone, without a car, for one night, sleep next to the fair; it is simpler, and we will say so without hedging. If you are coming by car, with a team, or for three or four days of a fair, the 10–14 minutes to Romexpo’s car park are a good trade: you give up a short drive and get an entire apartment, with a kitchen, free parking and your evening to yourself.
